Brittany Sterrett

 

Brittany has been dancing since age 3. She studied ballet (Vaganova syllabus) in the pre-professional program at Ballet Westmoreland Academy in Murrysville, PA, under the direction of Marsha Kulik and Nicolas Petrov, during her school years. She then attended The Johns Hopkins University, where she received degrees in International Studies and Romance Languages and Literature along with a certificate in Modern Dance in 2007. At JHU, Brittany served as the President of the university's modern dance company for 4 years. She also studied with Alberto del Saz of the Nikolais Louis Foundation for Dance in New York City while in college.

Brittany has been teaching ballet and modern dance for the past 5 years in Baltimore, MD, and Washington, DC. She is a registered Group Fitness Instructor and is working toward her 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification.

Brittany just moved to Austin with her fiance, who is pursuing his PhD at the University of Texas. In addition to her classes at TX FAA, she teaches other dance and yoga classes throughout Austin.
