Whitney Newell
Whitney began playing the piano as soon as she was old enough to sit on the piano bench. She is the fourth of five children, and comes from a very musical family.
Whitney took piano and dance lessons from age 5 through college. She studied dance at Rita Barton's School of Dance, and was accepted into the Alexandria Ballet Company. She has also competed and trained in Lindy Hop swing dancing. In college she decided to study Piano Performance. While attending Montgomery College she also trained intensely with Dr. Swanson at Sam Houston University. Whitney began teaching piano at age 16 because it is what she love's to do!
Whitney says: "I play piano every day. I view it as an extension of myself. I am so grateful to my parents who provided me the chance to learn. Music is a powerful source for good things in life and a wonderful gift from God that should be shared with others."
