Tim earned his Bachelor’s degree in guitar performance with a focus in jazz performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He has been teaching for over 10 years and has been trained in the Suzuki guitar method. Tim teaches all ages from preschool to adults and all styles ranging from classical, jazz, rock, and R&B. Tim focuses his lesson strongly in theory, but also works with his students in learning to improvise and in developing a good ear. As a performer, Tim works with several ensembles that in many different styles. For Tim, being able to share something that he has such a passion for brings him great joy, and he seeks to surround himself with musicians and those who aspire to become musicians.
